Description

Our Tung Oil from Tung Tree Seed is absolutely 100% pure without any additives. Tung Oil dries hard, accentuates grain, is waterproof and with good preparation finishes with a semi-gloss. Food safe.

Work piece timber should be either sharp hand plane finished or 400 to 600 grit sandpaper. Pour a small amount of oil onto a small clean rag. Wipe it on the work piece. Reapply dry spots.

Be sure to wipe off excess oil with same rag after 15 minutes or so.
Recoat after around 12 hours.
Apply 3 to 8 coats. Only a small amount of oil is required to recoat.
Keep rag in a glass jar with a screw lid to keep oil/rag reusable and safe.

Do not leave used tung oil rags rolled up, ignition can occur under the right circumstances.
