Handmade in Adelaide by Henry Eckert Toolworks, our solid carbide tungsten steel burnisher is an excellent burnisher for turning a hook or burr on any scraper shape. It has a polished solid carbide tungsten steel cylindrical rod 100mm long and 6mm thick. The solid brass ferrule protects from the scraper’s hopefully sharp edge… Handle is very hard Australian Spotted Gum. The burnisher is very solid, has some heft, which makes a simple single wiping stroke of a well prepared handscraper into a great shaving producing hook.
This long rod style of burnisher makes it easier to access the edges of convex & concave scraper edges.
Comes with a NZ split hide leather pouch included.
