Description

Strop Wax consists of 0.5 Micron Aluminium Oxide, Beeswax & Pharmaceutical Paraffin Binders. It is very safe to use. Approx 180 grams nett. Use it sparingly, it will last for many strop sessions.

Our strop is designed to be used as you would a sharpening stone. Secured on the bench with your plane blade, chisel or knife drawn across the strop laden with Strop Wax. Some may choose to hold the strop and polish the sharpened edge.

The construction is based on flat board with two sides of full grain leather. The leather is grain side out one side and flesh side out the other side to give you the ability to maintain the same leather face to our two grits. Suggest 60,00 grit on grain (smooth) side & 14,000 griot on flesh side. Strop is same dimensions as a Shapton stone, 210mm x 70mm.
