Description
The 102 was first made by Stanley in 1877. Our version is hand cast in manganese bronze with straight parallel sides at 90° to the sole for addition use with a shooting board. The cap iron is also manganese bronze. The blade is our PM-10V superior tool steel ground flat with a 25° primary bevel. It is 32mm wide and a class leading over 4mm thick. The blade sits firmly on a 12° precision machined bed. It is fitted with our exclusive unobtrusive Howard adjuster for silky smooth blade adjustment. Manganese bronze often reveals small casting blemishes on machining, part of the character and not affecting performance in any way.
The plane is 135mm long and 41mm wide. It weighs 500 grams.
A small pocket sized plane with a grand performance.
